PRACTICAL SCIENCE FICTION

STUDENT COLLOQUIUM

This course is designed to re-energize textbook-weary science and engineering undergraduates by requiring them to apply their knowledge to deconstructing science fiction short stories and films to analyze the underlying science. It will be composed of a mix of discussion sections and guest lectures.

Note: CCS Student Colloquia are limited to 2.0 units maximum credit; and are lower-division UCSB units.
