CHEMISTRY READING PROJECTS

Reading projects to be arranged between the student and chemistry faculty. A Proposal for Reading Projectform must be completed, signed by the instructor, and turned in to Terri in the CCS Office before an enrollment code may be issued and you may register for the class. A completed, signed proposal must be turned in by the end of the second week of the quarter. Necessary forms are available in the CCS Office.

For this quarter, the following Creative Studies faculty may be available for Independent Reading Projects: Donald Aue, Jeffrey Bode, Leroy Laverman or Ram Seshadri. If you have an opportunity to do research with a UCSB faculty person who is not in Creative Studies, please check with your CCS Chemistry advisor before getting appropriate forms from Terri in the CCS office. You may then set up the course through Creative Studies (as above), or you may wish to inquire about doing the project as a "199" Independent Studies course through the instructor's department in the College of Letters and Science, in which case you may earn a letter grade for your work.
