PROJECTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE: PRACTICAL SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

We will cover practical software engineering issues computer scientists face while building large-scale software systems. The approach is highly interactive and hands-on, requiring participation by each student taking the class.

Every student is expected to work on a large-scale individual or group project that they are interested in. Students will be given class time to discuss design and development of own projects and receive peer review and comments. Additionally a large-scale project will be jointly designed and developed by the class as a software engineering case study through the stages of requirements analysis, design and open-source style development.

Instructor(s): Murat Karaorman
