PHYSICS CS 33, Section 1 EC # 38901
WAVES, KINETIC THEORY AND RELATIVITY

This course is required for CCS Physics freshmen.

Sound waves. Fluid dynamics. Kinetic theory of matter. The Maxwell-Botzmann distribution. Specific heat. Entropy. The special theory of relativity.

Prerequisite: Physics CS 32, or equivalent and consent of instructor.



Note(s): All enrolled students must attend both the lecture and one weekly assigned problem session.
