PHYSICS CS 36, Section 1 EC # 38919
QUANTUM PHYSICS

Wave-particle duality. Photons. Matter waves. The uncertainty principle. The Schroedinger equation. Potential wells and barriers. The quantized simple harmonic oscillator. The hydrogen atom.

Prerequisite: Physics CS 35, or equivalent and consent of instructor.



Note(s): All enrolled students must attend both the lecture and one weekly assigned problem session.
