STUDENT COLLOQUIUM This workshop will examine the act of programming as well as activities surrounding it. The main focus will be exploring how different programmers approach the same problems. Topics will include when to use various programming languages, programming methodologies, portability, and using version control systems. Students will be asked to write programs as well as to bring in other programs they have written and will be expected to give and receive constructive criticism about their code. Maximum Units: Two (2.0) Pass. Units for this class are lower-division UCSB units.
