VECTOR CALCULUS

Vector calculus is concerned with multivariate real analysis of vectors in an inner product space of two or more dimensions. This course develops the theory of partial differentiation and the calculus of scalar and vector quantities in two and three dimensions. These knowledge is of vital importance in applied mathematics and theoretical physics. The course will cover the following topics: The geometry of the euclidean space, differentiation, vector-valued functions, double and triple integrals, integrals over paths and surfaces, and integral theorems of vector analysis.
