TENSOR ANALYSIS

Tensor analysis in flat spacetime will be developed with extension to curved spacetime. Special Relativity and Maxwell's Equations in Electromagnetism will be recast in tensor form, with applications. Curved spacetime, the Riemann curvature tensor, Einstein's equations, the Schwarzchild solution will be developed.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of Special Relativity and Electricity and Magnetism ( Physics CS 33, 34 and 35 ), and the subscript notation.
