This course is required for all lower-division CCS CS Majors. Mathematical foundations of computer science, including logic, sets, functions, introduction to algorithms and their analysis, methods of proof, induction, basics of counting, discrete probability, recurrences and generating functions, trees and graphs, graph algorithms. Make sure you come to the first meeting on Friday, September 26, at 2:00 pm to determine the exact class times for the quarter.
