Advanced Problem Solving

In this advanced problem-solving seminar, we will tackle the actual Putnam problems from the past.

In particular, we will go over important topics and techniques in the following undergraduate courses:

  • Algebra
  • Real Analysis
  • Geometry and Trigonometry
  • Number Theory
  • Combinatorics and Probability

Each week we start with a new Problem Set with selected problems from the Putnam and outside resources.

Prerequisite: Prof. Maribel's first year CCS Problem Solving Session.

Student Colloquia are limited to a maximum of Two (2.0) units Pass. Units for this class are lower-division UCSB units.
