This course is required for CCS Physics freshmen. Sound waves. Fluid dynamics. Kinetic theory of matter. The Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution. Specific heat. The special theory of relativity. Note(s): All enrolled students must attend both the lecture and one weekly assigned problem session. Prerequisite: Physics CS 32 and vector calculus, or equivalent and consent of instructor.
