I look back on my time in the College of Creative Studies and I realize one of the best opportunities ever presented to me was the freedom to fail.In its wisdom The College of Creative Studies supports those who challenge and stretch themselves without any penalty for failure.
Success to me is not measured by pure achievement but also by improvement and perseverance. This constant process of reaching and achieving and at other times reaching and failing, has engrained in me a work ethic that will stay with me my whole life. I know that the higher I set my sights, the higher I'll go.
Stepping into the profession of music seemed a bit daunting at first. I am grateful for the focused program that was tailored to my own interests. I am thankful for the professional composers who taught their craft well and who also mentored me. Because of the College of Creative Studies I have been able to step into the professional world with confidence.
