CCS physics students follow a two-year program of study covering and supplementing the material in Physics 1-5 as listed below:

1st year:
Physics CS 31 (F), Newtonion Physics
32 (W), Mechanics and Waves
33 (S) Waves, Kinetic Theory and Relativity


2nd Year:
Physics CS 34 (F), Electromagnetism
35 (W), Electromagnetism and Optics
36 (S) Quantum Physics


Also, Physics CS 15A (F), B (W), C (S), Introduction to Experimental Research. These lab courses focus on designing experiments, building apparatus, collecting data and writing results in a form suitable for publication.
Special topics seminars are taken during the 3rd and 4th years. These seminars supplement the upper-division physics courses the student is required to take. Topics covered can vary from year to year.
