All-College Photo and CCS Photo Board
A group photograph of all CCS students, faculty, and staff is taken after the All College Meeting in September. Students may purchase 8 x 10 prints. Individual photos of faculty, staff and students are also taken in September for our CCS Photo Board located in the main hallway.
Alumni
After graduation, Creative Studies students remain a vital part of the CCS community, often returning to conduct symposia or seminars. Since its beginning in 1967, the College has kept in touch with as many of its students as possible and produces a biennial listing of all graduates and their current activities. A summary of current information on all CCS graduates is available for purchase. If you have current information on any CCS graduate(s), please mention it to Frank so he can keep our records as up-to-date as possible, and also remember to keep us informed about yourself after you graduate.
Art Gallery
The CCS Art Gallery, which operates throughout the year, is located in the front of the building, just past the main offices. It is usually open to the public weekdays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. One of the gallery's primary functions is to provide CCS art majors with a place for their required "Graduating Senior Show" (art majors see page 23). It also serves as an educational resource by presenting contemporary and historical exhibitions (sometimes in coordination with the UCSB Art Museum or the S.B. Contemporary Arts Forum), as well as the biannual CCS Faculty Exhibition. When scheduling permits, the gallery is used for performances by CCS music majors. Director: Dan Connally
Computers
CCS has PC and Macintosh computers available for use by students and faculty. Student computers are kept in room 115. To obtain access to the computers, please see Frank for an entrance code. This computerized door code is your personal code. Do not share it with others. The room is kept locked at all times, including regular working hours. The only way to get in is with your personal code.

Software: We have several programs, but students must teach themselves how to use them. Students are urged to take advantage of the free workshops offered each quarter by Instructional Computing.
Employment
Occasionally the CCS office will hire students for part-time, temporary work. In the past we have hired people for woodshop and sculpture yard clean-up and assistance, gallery sitting, art modeling, envelope stuffing, and other assorted tasks. Check with Karen in room 102 if you are interested. For a greater selection of part-time jobs, visit the Counseling and Career Center in Bldg. 599.
Lockers
There are some lockers available for use by any CCS student. See Dane in room 104. For art locker information, see the section under Degree Requirements/Art/Art Lockers.
Library Privileges
CCS students have library privileges equivalent to those of UCSB graduate students (e.g., quarter-long checkout) both in the UCSB Davidson Library and the Arts Library in the Music Building. If you did not receive a special library card with your letter of acceptance, see Leslie in room 102A.

Lounge
Room 134 is the CCS lounge. It contains the student mailboxes, a refrigerator, sinks, a microwave, cupboards, a table and chairs, bulletin boards, a small reference library, and a typewriter. Users are expected to show common courtesy by cleaning up after themselves.
Photocopying
The photocopier in room 115 is accessible to CCS students. There is an allotment of 1,000 copies for personal use or for CCS class use. A CCS staff member must show you how to operate the machine before you are allowed to use it.
See Frank for a code for the machine. There are special instructions for copying from books and other formats.
Pianos
CCS has three pianos. The one in room 143 is open to use by any CCS student. The pianos in the Old Little Theater and room 154 are reserved for use by CCS music majors only (music majors see Dane in room 104 to check out a key).

Study Rooms
Many rooms in the CCS building may be used as study rooms after regular school hours. See Dane in room 104 if you want to check out a key to one of them. The room schedule is posted in the front hallway. Room 148 is often used as a math and physics study room. Room 145 is often used as a study room when there are no classes being held in it.
Symphony Matinee
At the beginning of each month we receive 6-8 free passes to the Santa Barbara Symphony, which are good for one of the 3:00 pm Sunday Matinees at the Arlington Theatre in downtown Santa Barbara. If you are interested in obtaining tickets see Dane in room 104.
Typewriter
There is a correcting typewriter in the Lounge (room 134 ) available for student use. Students provide their own paper. If the ribbon or correcting tape runs out, tell a CCS staff person.
