There are general announcement boards in the Lounge (rm 134) and in various locations throughout the building. Art related notices in rm 136; Music & Literature in the student lounge; Math & Sciences by rm 115; CCS courses in main hallway; and events board in the Old Little Theater. Check these boards frequently to keep informed of current events and opportunities. You may post announcements in the CCS Lounge, room 134. Otherwise, give things that you want posted to Dane (Fire safety regulations restrict where notices and flyers may be posted).
E-mail
Messages of immediate concern for all CCS students are sent by e-mail. It is very important that we have your current e-mail address and that you check your e-mail regularly
CCS Office
The CCS front office is open from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Mailboxes
You will have a CCS mailbox assigned to you when you enter the College (NOTE: These are not P.O. Boxes). The boxes are located in the student lounge. Look for your name BELOW your mailbox. You should check your box regularly for important announcements, telephone messages, miscellaneous notes, etc. At the end of Spring quarter please empty your box. Provide your instructors with self-addressed, stamped envelopes if you want them to return papers, etc., after the end of Spring quarter.
NEW STUDENTS - If you can?t find your mailbox, see a CCS staff person.
FACULTY MAILBOXES are located in room 104. You may leave messages for instructors in these boxes.

PLEASE KEEP BUILDING AND ROOMS LOCKED FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION !
Please don?t prop doors open after hours!!
Lost and Found
If you lose something or find something left by someone else, check with Dane in CCS room 101. Otherwise, try the University Center (UCen) Information desk (893-2464), the Campus Police Station (893-3843) or the Library (893-2477).
Student Files
A permanent file is started for each student when he/she enters CCS and it is kept indefinitely. Your file contains your original application materials and is updated throughout your UCSB/CCS career as new information is obtained. Confidentiality is carefully maintained for all student files, and individual student files are not available for scrutiny by anyone other than appropriate CCS staff and faculty.
Student Addresses
Leslie maintains a current listing of all CCS students? personal information (i.e. permanent and local addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses). At the beginning of each Fall quarter, you will find a form in your CCS student mailbox requesting this information.
Please be certain to complete this form in the Fall!We realize that it will take you a few weeks to get completely settled and get a local phone number. However, it is imperative that we be able to reach you by telephone and by e-mail throughout the academic year. If we have not received all of this information from you by the fifth week of Fall quarter, your registration for Winter Quarter will be blocked by the College. You will be unable to register for Winter until the required information is on file in Leslie?s office. In that case, as soon as you submit the necessary information, your registration block will be released. Don?t risk losing your class space for Winter Quarter! Turn in your personal information early!
There are many times and a variety of important reasons why staff or faculty may need to contact you. These sometimes include special opportunities of which we wish to make you aware, but there are also times when we need to inform you of important deadlines/obligations.
Also, please notify Leslie if you have any change of address, phone number(s) or e-mail at any time during the year. We appreciate your cooperation!
