
A lecturer in UCSB's Department of Theater and Dance, Jeff Mills has been performing as professional actor and musician for 20 years. After receiving his undergraduate training in the BFA acting program at UC Santa Barbara, he continued his studies at the Guildford School of Acting and Dance in England and at the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver. He has performed with the Denver Center Theatre Company, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, American Folklore Theatre and PCPA Theatrefest. He was also the co-founder of the Door Shakespeare Festival in Door County, Wisconsin. Jeff is currently the co-producing Artistic Director of movement based BOXTALES Theatre Company where he most recently played Odysseus in "The Odyssey" at the Lobero Theatre. Recently Jeff appeared on film as Tristan in Bill Viola's and Peter Sellars' "The Tristan Project" at the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. In April 2005 the film received its international premier as part of Sellar's production of "Tristan and Isolde" at the Opera National in Paris, France.
