Jeffrey Hewitt divides his time between his home in Marshfield, Massachusetts and an apartment in the East Village, New York City. He graduated from CCS in 1974 with an BA in Literature. He has an MS in Nursing from Pace University in Pleasantville, NY, and a JD from Columbia Law School. He is a licensed registered nurse and a member of the New York Bar. He is currently making pictures using his camera and digital workshop, and had his first solo show of this work at the Donald Gallery in Dobbs Ferry, NY. He is chair of the board for the Bereavement Center of Westchester. He serves on the board of directors for a local hospice and home health care agency, and the advisory board for his nursing school. Jeffrey helped endow prizes for fiction (Brancart Prize) and poetry (Richardson Prize) to encourage the study of writing. The prizes, administered through CCS, are open to all UCSB undergraduates.
