Hugh and Susie Vos have been active in the Santa Barbara community since 1985. Hugh is president of Stonington Capital Corporation, a private investment company in Santa Barbara. Hugh earned his BA in 1954 from the Institut d?Etudes Politiques in Paris, France. He was subsequently awarded a graduate fellowship by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs of Princeton University from which he obtained an MA in 1956. Hugh is a pas chairman and director of SEE International (Surgical Eye Expeditions International) and the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara. He is also a member of the investment committees of the Santa Barbara Symphony, the Kavli Foundation, and a Trustee of the UCSB Foundation. Susie is an artist who has been painting since childhood. She earned her BA in the History of Art and a minor in Art from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Her medium of choice is acrylic on canvas and her subjects range from local scenes to the images she has taken by photograph from her travels around the world. She is a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association, a member of the board of the Braille Institute and a sustaining member of the Santa Barbara Art Museum.
