Into the Teeth of the Wind

Into the Teeth of the Wind has from one to four issues per year and accepts both poetry and art submissions year-round.

We accept unsolicited manuscripts of poetry, up to eight poems at a time. Manuscripts will not be returned unless they are clearly marked with the request and accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope with appropriate postage.

Into the Teeth of the Wind accepts art submissions for its cover. We prefer digital submissions, but also accept prints or slides (they must be clear enough to scan). Please remember to include adequate postage for return.

Please allow at least two months for the journal’s staff to review submissions. With varying amounts of manuscripts, this time frame may be shorter or longer. While the journal does read submissions over the summer, our staff is smaller and we may require more time to reach a decision.

Contributors will receive a free copy of the issue in which their work appears. Into the Teeth of the Wind receives first North American publishing rights only (and the right to publish selected artwork and poetry on this website); all work remains copyrighted by its respective creators.
