EVO DEVO AND THE RISE OF THE MARINE INVERTEBRATES

Course Description

This course introduces students to the questions of evolutionary development and the molecular and cell biological approaches used to study these questions in a variety of marine invertebrates. Class meetings will be discussion-focused and taught mainly through primary literature. There will be guest speakers and field trips to explore the Marine Resources Facilities and several research labs on campus, as well as tide pools on Campus Point and Coal Oil Point.
