Course Description

Each week we will read an essay or interview that addresses issues related to painting. In some cases I will give you hard copies of the text and in others I will post it (or a link to it) on Gauchospace. I will post images and other information there as well. Your job is to read the assigned material and write approximately 600 words about it. (We'll discuss the nature of this writing at the first class meeting.)

You will submit your essays to me via Google Docs no later than 6 PM on the day before we next meet. In addition to the essay you will please formulate a question about the text that you would like to put to the class for discussion.
